Our campaign continues to build momentum as we race towards Saturday’s critical fundraising reporting deadline.
Today I am thrilled to announce that Oakland Vice Mayor Annie Campbell Washington has joined Mayor Libby Schaaf, former Mayor Jean Quan, Pastors J. Alfred Smith, Jr. and Javier Ramos, and a host of others in endorsing our campaign.
In endorsing us, Vice Mayor Campbell Washington said:
“Loren Taylor is the change we need. He’s spent decades taking on tough challenges around health, homelessness, and economic empowerment, many of the same challenges Oakland faces today. He’s also shown where his heart is by giving back and making a difference for numerous local non-profits. He’s a loving husband, father, mentor, and tireless community leader. His deep Oakland roots, passion for our city, and record of results will make him an excellent Councilmember for District 6.”
I am incredibly honored by the Vice Mayor’s support and thank her for the trust she has placed in me and in our campaign.
Will you please join her in supporting our campaign by making a generous contribution of $25, $100, or even the maximum of $800 before this Saturday’s critical fundraising deadline? Click here to contribute now.
The outpouring of support our campaign has received has been incredible, and I’m so thankful so many have stepped up to help out. It’s going to make a huge difference when we publicly release our fundraising numbers after June 30 and those standing on the sidelines are motivated to action by the amount of support we are receiving.
If you’re already contributed the maximum ($800), thank you so much for your support! I hope you will consider forwarding this email or encouraging a spouse, friend, or family member to join you in contributing.
Thanks so much for your strong support for our vision for new leadership for District 6.
P.S. Our RSVP page for our Field Kick-Off is also now live here. Please sign up and let us know if you can make it out to Skyline Pizza on Saturday, July 14 as we launch our grassroots door-to-door effort. You can come at 9:30, enjoy snacks and a training, and then head out to knock doors, or if you’ve done this before, you can just come around 10:30 and we can send you out walking. Thanks again!
